Web 2.0 Project is really very interesting experience

Web 2.0 project is really an excellent experience that I got during this semester. I got many different skills such as preparing training plan, presenting training session, evaluating the trainers and the most important thing that I learnt many different Google Tools. Actually, most of these tools were new for me and I didn’t know about it before. Hence, the training plan was really useful and important before presenting my session because it helps me a lot to present my session very well and in order of outlines. I believe that presenting training session is an awesome skill that enables me to perform any sessions training in my job environment. Evaluating the trainers is giving a great opportunity to know their strengths and improve their weakness. Google Tools sessions provide me chance to cover all of important outlines in the blog. Moreover, Google Tools sessions offer me to show the process of each tool to implement the process in the Google Site. I create this post to show my experience learning of each tool during this semester and present in order of the preference.

 

Google Chrome

Google Chrome is an interesting browser that I have been learnt in training session. It is very helpful and useful for my projects. It helps me to save my time while I am searching. From that time I am using Google Chrome instead of the Internet Explorer because it is the easiest and fastest way to enter and searching the links through creating application. The Chrome Web Store is the most interesting thing in Google Chrome. I can add many different and recent popular applications to Chrome Home Page such as Business tools, office applications, games, lifestyle applications, Educational applications, News and Weather applications.

Blogs

Blogs is an amazing tool that I have been learnt from the training session. It is enabling me to share my experience and receiving the comments from my friends and family. I can add and view my post as daily. Also, I like to use and update the blog because I can upload the Photos and video easily. Moreover, it helps me to increase my creativity through using different tools and improving my skills in writing by creative my page blog. Creating a blog is an excellent opportunity for a person who has establishing business. It helps to earn income and inform consumers of the recently launched products and services through promoting them by a low cost marketing device. Also, blogs keeps you ahead of your competition through informing consumers of the way you work, how you are different from others and how your services are way above from competitors. And blogs help to manage and build online reputation.

Google Sites

Google sites enable me to make information accessible in the site, up to date access. I can insert file attachments; add information from other Google applications such as Google Docs and Google Calendar. Also, I may upload YouTube video, Picasa photos, presentations and photo slide shows. Moreover, I can publish sites to the world. I have to create Google site in this semester. It is very easy to use through creating a new page and accesses my Google tools in each page. It is as easy as editing a document and choose customization options. It get started with templates through offering a list of page types like web page, announcement, file cabinet and dashboard to help me to get started with my Google Sites pages. It is very an amazing tool!!!

Twitter

When the trainer presented us about the twitter, I was interesting to have an account in twitter to learn more about it. As a daily I like to read the breaking news, post my tweets and see others’ tweets. Twitter is very useful communications tool and there are many good features like to write and share my information as Tweets. These Tweets are available to anyone interested in reading them. I like the “Browse Interests” tab to discover new accounts to follow and it help me to find my friends. Also, I can find people on Twitter whose Twitter names contain my search term under the “People” tab. In addition, as a business I can start to advertise my product on Twitter and it will help me a lot to keep in touch with people.

Google searching

When I have been learnt the Google searching in the session, actually it was really helpful tool for my projects. It helps me to find exactly what I am looking for example if I want to search about specific book I can find through following some steps. Also, it helps me to search a topic specifically in different file type such as PDF, Ms Excel and Ms Word.

Google Searching is very easy to use in simple way and saving my time. It is enable me to know about the daily life essentials like the weather and times in different countries. Moreover, it may help me to know the timing of the sunrise and sunset in different cities and countries. It has many another features such as I can use the calculator and unit Conversion through converting many different units of measurement of height and weight.

The most interesting thing about the Google searching is providing me a lot about traveling to search about the flight schedules and search the flight status for arriving and departing. In addition, the Google searching provides the currency converter if I need to convert my money for traveling. That are really amazing features about Google searching I did not it before.

Google Earth

Google earth one of the important tools that have many different features in one program. It is very fast and highly dynamic navigation. It is enable me to show the location of different countries in detail for example we can zoom and see the sea, cities, streets, mountains, hotels, restaurants, parks and schools. In addition, we can find that the building and cities as 3D models to show us a highly realistic view of a city and in specific details in the map. Actually, Google Earth helps me a lot in the project tasks while doing a video playback of driving directions from area to another area to makes easier to find the place. Google earth helps me a lot in providing me the necessary information when I have plan to travel other countries, it is enable me to provide me the information about the weather, hotels location, culture, characteristics, transportation and the places of interest.

Gmail, voice & video chat

Before downloading any Google tools I have to create an account in Gmail to be able using other Google tools. When I have been created an account I found out that it has interesting features and I prefer it more than Hotmail. From that time I always use my Gmail account because it is enable me to organize my mails through Gmail Filters in a variety of ways through making your email inbox easier to sort through. Also, I can expand Gmail Chat to SMS and you take your conversations with me. Moreover, I can access my email from other online accounts through importing email and contacts from a variety of popular email programs by following Google’s comprehensive step by step guide. In addition, the Gmail Security Checklist helps to follow all of the security guidelines on this list to help avoid unwanted access to my account. Actually, Gmail’s Security Checklist contains 18 items in five categories such as your computer, Your Browser, Your Google Accounts, Your Gmail Settings and Final Reminders. This is makes to ensure that my account is always secure.

To use Gmail voice and video I have to login in my Gmail account. It can use for free and help me to stay connected with my friends and family anywhere around the world through text chatting, Gmail Voice and video calling with added video capability.

Google Docs

Google Docs is very useful tool I am using this tool in my Management Project. Google Docs including documents list, documents and spreadsheets. It enables me to create and share the document with others of group member. My group members can read and edit or add comment to the project. Then, I am receiving emails from my member group to correct the report. I can change the font, size, color and other formatting options. Also, I may add page numbers on the document and print it. Moreover, I can insert the photos, copy and paste a chart from spreadsheet into a document or drawing. It is a safe place to store my documents and it save automatically so I can open and find my documents any time and in anywhere from other laptops.

Google Calendar

Google Calendar is very easy to keep our life’s essential events all in one area. It makes our life more organized and professional. I can manage my appointments and share my schedule in calendar with co-workers, family and friends when I know when everyone is free or busy. In addition, I am enabling to create invitations for special events through sending invitations to other people and I can notify them through email. Moreover, I can access my Google Calendar in my phone while I am away from my desk so I carry it anywhere with me. Also, I enable to customize reminders to help me stay on schedule, and I may select to be inform through receiving an email or get a text message and it will sent immediate to my phone. The most interesting thing about Google Calendar that I can access my calendar whenever and however I want through syncing events with Microsoft Outlook or any other Apple Devices.

Google Finance

Google Finance shows me an easy way to search for stocks, mutual funds, public and private companies. It helps me to find and manage my financial information online easily. Google Finance provides me a very fast, easy and powerful way to create, maintain and track my personal portfolio of stocks and mutual funds.

Google News

Google News allows me to set up sections on topics of my interest through selecting personalize Google News. This tool helps me to save my time while searching with selecting the sources and specific categories to find latest update news. Google News allows me to share my online news with my friends.

Google Picasa and Picasa Web Album

Google Picasa and Picasa Web Album is a free software that owned by Google. This tool considers being one of the photo management programs which helps the users to find, edit, print and share all the photos on their computers. It is very useful photo program nowadays and I am using Picasa to add value, glow and different effects to our memorable images in addition it helps to gather all photos in one image also I can do a lot in Google Picasa for example, I can send photo by email without open my email; also I can add my photos to my blog. Moreover, I can import pictures from different devices. Creating Movie Maker is another interesting thing in Google Picasa for any project or to display historical backgrounds of business organization and development, also we can use for teaching purposes. Also, there is an important feature for the businesses that we can make a poster for the project to advertise product.

Facebook

Facebook is an interesting tool that enables me to find my friends and communicate with them easily. I have an account in Facebook and I post my Photos and shares with my family and friends through private or public messages and a chat feature. But after the training session I gained more information about using features of Facebook. I can create my profile, album pictures and join interest groups. In addition, I can post my videos and links in my account. It is useful tool and nice to learn it. Moreover, some organizations use a Facebook account for advertising purposes.

Google Reader RSS Feeds

Google Reader enables me to share and organize my articles with other web users or through creating a basic webpage that includes all shared items from a user’s account. With Google Reader I can subscribe to feeds by using either Google Reader’s search function, or through entering URL of the RSS or Atom feed. Then, the feeds show on the left of the screen. Moreover, I can order the list of feeds through date or relevance. Also, it can be organized with labels. Thus, I am able to create “Starred items” for easy to access.

Social Bookmarking

Social Bookmarking helps me to manage and organize my resources online. It enables me to save links to a page and find it in this tool. It helps me to store, remember and share my online websites with my friends. Also, I can share it either publicly or privately. Social bookmarking is a great way to manage websites through using tags and categories to keep all categories, headlines and descriptions related to the website link. It is very useful tool for my project research. I am using Delicious as social bookmarking web service. I like this amazing tool because it enables me to save and access my bookmarks from any computers and any place. 
            
 

How To Make A Prezi Presentation

Prezi is a cloud-based (SaaS) presentation software and storytelling tool for exploring and sharing ideas on a virtual canvas. Prezi is distinguished by its Zooming User Interface (ZUI), which enables users to zoom in and out of their presentation media. Prezi allows users to display and navigate through information within a 2.5D space on the Z-axis. Chock Caramel Ice Cream Tarts

• Ingredients

• 4 x 72g Snickers bars, coarsely chopped
• 2 1/2 tbs thickened cream
• 8 scoops Peters Light & Creamy Choc Caramel & Vanilla Swirl ice-cream
• Dark chocolate, shaved, to decorate

Chocolate pastry

• 225g (1 1/2 cups) plain flour
• 150g butter, chilled, chopped
• 2 tbs icing sugar mixture
• 2 tbs cocoa powder
• 3-4 tbs milk

1. Step 1
   To make the pastry, process the flour, butter, icing sugar and cocoa powder in a food processor until the mixture resembles fine breadcrumbs. Add milk. Process until just combined. Turn onto a lightly floured surface and knead until smooth. Shape into a disc and cover with plastic wrap. Place in the fridge for 30 minutes to rest.
2. Step 2
   Divide the dough into 8 portions. Roll out 1 portion until 3mm thick. Line a 2.5cm-deep, 8cm (base measurement) fluted tart tin, with removable base, with the pastry. Trim any excess. Repeat with the remaining dough portions. Use a fork to prick the bases all over. Place in the freezer for 20 minutes to chill.
3. Step 3
   Preheat oven to 200°C. Bake the pastry cases for 15 minutes or until crisp and dry to the touch.
4. Step 4
   Stir the Snickers and cream in a saucepan over low heat for 5 minutes or until the Snickers melts and the mixture is smooth. Spoon among tart cases. Set aside to cool completely.

DWC Bazaar 2012

Dubai Women's College Bazaar 2012 was held on 27th November 2012. I attended the bazaar this year and it was amazing I liked the way of the organizing the Bazaar.  It was divided into four themed areas:

1. Fashion & Design Village

2. Food, Fun & Fitness Village

3. Accessories Village

4. DWC Houses & IT Village

I was interested in Fashion & Design Village because many booths had a lot of creative ideas and hand made it with high quality.  Actually I am passionate on fashion and accessories and I love to wear it.  Hence, I bought many things such as shinny i phone cover, elegant blouse, colorful hair accessories comfortable flat slipper and funky bracelet.  Finally, I and my friends had a dinner in the cafe in the Bazaar.  Actually, I had a great and fabulous time in the Bazaar 2012.

 

U.A.E 41st National Day

On the Occasion of the 41st anniversary of the U.A.E National Day, I and my colleagues celebrated the National Day in our work place in Emirates NBD Bank.  We decorated our department with Emirates flag colorful and we prepared food and memorable gifts for the teams.  As Emirates NBD participated in this celebration through decorating the Head Office and setting the programme of planting the "Union Tree" of the initiative launched by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashed Al Maktoum, UAE Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai. Thus, Emirates NBD Bank planted the tree outside Emirates NBD Office (next to the underground parking)   The second programme was included the Heritage Village and it displayed traditional lifestyle, live cooking and music. The initiative took place on 28th and 29th of November 2011 with full day of celebration.  I had a really great time during the celebration. J

Gorgeous Choice in Bazaar 2009

In the Bazaar 2009 Dubai Women’s College offered us as our business students group opportunity to begin our own business. The bazaar is the most essential event in Dubai Women’s College. It helps students to practice the process to accomplish a goal for succeeding the business. The main aim from the bazaar event is to obtain skills and experience in leadership, work as teamwork, motivate other employees, prepare students to run a business in the future and learn to solve problems through facing any problems in the business. We were group of four students, who are Mariam Al Marzouqi as General Manager of Gorgeous Choice shop, Maryam Mazrooei as Customer Service, Fatema Al Awadi as Marketing and Basma Rashed as Accounting. We decided to sell Funky women’s t-shirt, Baby’s underwear and gloves with different design of crystals color. It was a very exciting experience during the Bazaar.

My Brother's & Nephew's Birthday

Yesterday, on 14th November I and my sister arranged birthday party for my brother and his son in our home.  Actually, they surprised when they arrived and entered to our home and all of my family gathered and were waited for them to celebrate their birthday. The cake was very yummy with cookies n' ice cream cake from Baskin Robbins. Everybody gave them nice and beautiful gifts. I gave my brother Cerruti watch and toy for my nephew.  The amazing thing is that my brother and his son was born in the same date and I think that is very cool and special date to celebrate them.     

Princess: A True Story of Life Behind the Veil in Saudi Arabia

This is a real story about the Sultana.  She is a Saudi Arabian Princess born in uncountable wealth. This book shows a picture of life of a woman among the Saudi male dominated in their Society. She has told her story and other stories of her sisters that were treated unfairly under the power of Saudi men. As Sultana gets older, she encounters more and more horror at the treatment of women. While her brother is treated like a god with all respect from birth.

I have been read this book three years ago and still have not been able to erase the story from my mind, actually this book is awesome and I re-read it again this week.    

I recommend to read this book to all my friends to see the issue of no human rights even if the sultana is from Royal family!!!!!!!!     

Finally My Home Garden is Ready

I am spending a lot of time in my garden it makes me feel happiness, calm and peaceful. Actually, me and my family have been prepared our garden since May 2011. We are growing  many different kinds of plants such as Flowers, Orange, Tomato, Berry, Lemon and Organic leaves. After planting we decorate our garden through setting the gazebo, garden swing and outdoor breakfast table.           

My whole family is a lover of tea and usually we have it in the garden. My father likes to read newspaper in the garden and my mother interested in growing organic leaves and fruits.      

Our garden is a wonderland that makes me to have fresh air with greenness and it is the place for me to relax and release my stress from college project works and my work through listening to the nature, twitter birds and the beautiful smell of flowers. Skyfall 007

Yesterday I went to Wafi Grand Cineplex Cinema and I watched Skyfall movie. The place was over crowded with the people standing in queues purchasing the ticket for the show.  I was very enthusiastic and eager to watch the movie as soon as it is released.  Skyfall is the twenty third spy film in the James Bond series. In Skyfall, Bond’s loyalty to M is tested as her past comes back to haunt her. As MI6 (Military Intelligence, Section6) comes under attack, 007 should track down and destroy the threat. A lot of action and thriller in the movie. 

Actually, I am fond of James Bond series and I have watched all the previous series of James Bond so I am recommending you to watch the Skyfall movie.

How To Lose Fat While Building Muscle

Eid Al Al Adha

This year Eid Aldha was different than previous years. It was amazing because we had planned before Eid to how to enjoy our time in Eid. It is important to manage our time in our daily life. So we organized our time in this Eid to make it is perfect as social relations among family and friends and entertain our self. It is necessary that we needs to activate the body and the brain, at the same time we needs to entertain and relax our body and brain in different ways to avoid the tiredness and stress.

In Eid Adha, A lot of our friends and family visited us and we had a lunch with them. And everybody was happy and wearing the new dresses. My Summer Vacation in Europe

After each term in the college I had my holiday so I have to plan it before.  It is fun to have holidays.  Most of all I liked to plan for summer holidays because I have the longest trip period to stay it.

I'd like to tell you about my summer holidays.  Last July 2011 I went to Europe such as Austria, Italy Germany and France.  It was awesome holiday and I spent for twenty five days.  First we traveled to Vienna in Austria by Emirates Airline and from there we rent a car to move from city to another city in Austria, Italy and Germany.  Then from Germany we got to France by train.  So we had an excellent opportunity to see amazing monuments to the famous people, museums,  Theme park, castles and Towers.

We enjoyed a lot in our trip especially in Venice, it is the historic city of water and it is renowned for the beauty of the artworks and the architecture is the most thing that I like actually it was really interesting to visit this city.
